A 23-year-old woman from London is feared to have died in a tragic bungee jumping accident in Spain.
Foreign Office officials are investigating reports saying she died as her aunt watched yesterday afternoon in Lanjaron, Granada, southern Spain.
A spokesman for Spain's Guardia Civil in Granada told the Mail Online: "The dead woman is a British 23-year-old from London.
"She was staying with her aunt for a few days and that relative was present when the tragedy occurred."
He added it was "too early to draw any conclusions" about the circumstances of the death.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are urgently looking into reports of the death of a British National in Spain and stand ready to provide consular assistance".
Local news site the Seaside Gazette reported that the woman's bungee rope was intact and that she had slammed into the side of the bridge from which she jumped.
