Four people from north London have today appeared in court in connection with the £10 million Hatton Garden raid.

Brenn Walters, also known as Ben Perkins, 43, and Laura Perkins, 40, both of Manor Court, Enfield, and Steven Robinson, 46, and Terri Robinson, 35, both of Sterling Road, Enfield, attended a short hearing a Westminster Magistrates’ Court before they were released on bail.

All four are charged with conspiracy to conceal, disguise, convert or transfer criminal property.

They did not enter pleas and are next due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on September 4.

Nine men are due to stand trial accused of plotting the raid during the Easter weekend.

Police believe the thieves entered the building through a communal entrance before disabling the lift and climbing down the shaft to the basement.

A 20-inch deep hole, which was 10 inches high and 18 inches wide, was then drilled into the vault wall before millions of pounds worth of items was taken from 73 safety deposit boxes.

Terry Perkins, 67, of Heene Road, Daniel Jones, 58, of Park Avenue, and Hugh Doyle, 48, of Riverside Gardens, all of Enfield; William Lincoln, 60, of Bethnal Green, and John Collins, 74, of Blestoe Walk, Islington, are all charged with conspiracy to burgle between April 1 and April 7 this year.

Brian Reader, 76, and Paul Reader, 50, both of Dartford Road, Dartford, Carl Wood, 58, of Elderbeck Close, Cheshunt, and taxi driver John Harbinson, 42, from Benfleet in Essex, face the same charge.

It is alleged all the men conspired together to enter Hatton Garden Safe Deposit in London’s jewellery quarter with the intent to steal.

The men have also been charged with conspiring to conceal or transfer the jewellery and will formally enter pleas at Woolwich Crown Court on September 4.

A provisional trial date has been set for November 16.
