Dagenham shooting: Man left with 'life-changing injuries' after being repeatedly shot at block of flats

A man has been left with life-changing injuries after he was repeatedly shot at a block of flats in Dagenham.

Armed police were deployed to the scene at Hawkwell House in Gosfield Road after the attack on Thursday afternoon.

Scotland Yard said the victim was taken to an east London hospital with “life changing injuries.”

A Met Police spokesman said: “Police are currently on scene at Hawkwell House, Gosfield Road, Dagenham dealing with an incident whereby a male has sustained multiple gun shot wounds.

“He remains in an east London hospital with life changing injuries. Police including armed police remain at the scene.”
