A 13-year-old boy after a boy was stabbed in north London on Monday evening.

Police and paramedics called to the scene around 5.20pm to Willow Bridge Road in Canonbury after reports of a stabbing.

A boy, believed to be 16, was found suffering from a stab wound and was rushed to hospital. His condition is not life-threatening, said police.

Another boy,  aged 13, was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Police took him to a north London police station and he was later bailed to return on a date in early June.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said their enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

Officers ask anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 5839/9May.
