TV Chef Gordon Ramsay claimed that rival Jamie Oliver is too fat to tell Americans to eat healthily — and that he needs “a good wash”.

The F-Word star said Oliver’s US show Food Revolution was shelved after just two seasons after pictures emerged of him looking chubby.

Ramsay, 46, also accused Oliver, 37, of having a “crush” on his wife Tana.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man, aired on Channel 4 tonight, he said: “You have to be very careful when you go across the pond and want to dictate to Americans about healthy eating.

“If you’re not in that best shape yourself then you have to be very careful.” He added: “I think Jamie Oliver has a crush on my wife because every time he gets the chance to mention me he goes to my wife.

“For Christmas all I want to do is give him a f***ing good wash.” He also laid into former boss Marco Pierre White and chef Antony Worrall Thompson, saying: “I’ve been naughty at times — ripping pages out of chefs’ cookbooks, making the recipes and then running to Battersea Dogs Home to see how many of them will eat the s***.

“There was one time when there was a golden retriever and I made a dish out of Antony Worrall Thompson’s book — and the dog wouldn’t eat it.”

However, he avoided any criticism of footballer David Beckham — with whom he is believed to be opening a restaurant — saying: “David cooks really well. He’s very good.”

Ramsay added: “There’s something exciting in the pipeline next year. Something south of the river — very cool, very hip.”
