Amanda Holden champions exciting lessons on healthy eating

Amanda Holden: joined the Eat Like A Champ campaign

Amanda Holden is encouraging schoolchildren to eat more fruit and vegetables as part of a healthy meals campaign.

Pictured at Lady Margaret Primary School in Southall, the Britain’s Got Talent judge has joined dance troupe Diversity — who triumphed on the TV show — as an ambassador for nutrition programme Eat Like a Champ. Nine to 11-year-olds take part in food tastings, workshops on eating your 5-A-Day and lessons about healthy lunchbox choices for six weeks.

Holden, a mother of two, said: “I’m such a big supporter of initiatives that get children excited about eating well, as it will benefit them throughout their life.” The programme, created by Danone UK and the British Nutrition Foundation, ran in 25 London classes last year and 500 nationally.
