Comic Relief promises to be as entertaining as ever this year with One Direction, Michael McIntyre and Rowan Atkinson leading the performances.
March 15 will be a night full of charitable fun with One Direction performing their charity single, a cover of Blondie's One Way or Another, while Jessie J will have her head shaved live on TV. She said today: "I won't deny that I'm nervous but I am also honoured to be part of this year's campaign."
The night's fundraising entertainment will be hosted by some of Britain’s top comedy talent including Michael McIntyre, Rob Brydon, John Bishop, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall, Jack Whitehall, Nick Grimshaw, Jonathan Ross and Claudia Winkleman.
It will also be packed full of sketches from the Call the Midwife cast, Rowan Atkinson as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Fresh Meat and a special Russell Howard’s Good News.
Back in 1995 Dawn French had a dream come true when people paid £1million to see her smooch Hugh Grant. This year, when Harry Styles was asked by Heat magazine if he’d fill in for Hugh Grant and give Dawn a snog, he rather uncharmingly replied: “Anything for Comic Relief.” Watch this space.
