Prince George’s Thomas’s Battersea: who are the primary school’s famous alumni?

This Thursday September 7, Prince George reaches a major milestone in his young royal life: he starts school.

After attending a Montessori near his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home in Norfolk, the little prince will begin at the prestigious Thomas’s Battersea in south London.

It was previously speculated that he might become a pupil at his father Prince William’s first school, Wetherby in Notting Hill.

But Prince George isn’t the only famous face the £6,000 a term school has educated. The royal tot will follow on in the footsteps of several stars, including supermodels, singers and actresses. The most famous of these is undoubtedly Cara Delevingne, The 25-year-old English model and film star attended Thomas’s, as did her older sisters, socialite and actress Poppy and Chloe, while growing up in Belgravia.

Florence Welch, the much-loved vocalist behind Brit band Florence and the Machine, is also an alumnus of Thomas’s Battersea, which is described as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. The singer then went on to attend Alleyn’s School in Dulwich.

Several more actresses are reported to be ex-pupils of the exclusive school, including Tara Fitzgerald, who shot to fame after appearing with Hugh Grant in Australian comedy Sirens. War Horse actress Celine Buckens and Fresh Meat star Charlotte Ritchie also went to Thomas’s Battersea.
