While most of us hunker down in economy, a few lucky travellers hop around the globe on private jets.

Some choose to go the extra mile by purchasing their own model - Drake recently unveiled his custom Air Drake Boeing 767 - but others opt for private jet companies to help get them from A to B without the hassle of maintaining an aircraft (we hear those fuel bills are a drag).

So how do the super-rich like to charter their jets? We asked Victor, a private jet charter company, which caters to passengers with a 24/7 concierge service, for an insight into how the other half do air travel.

A guest asked for enough sushi to feed 80 people

Most private jets aren’t very big, so when one traveller asked for enough sushi to feed 80 people, it raised eyebrows. Victor duly delivered by shipping in food for guests from Belgravia restaurant Sumosan, where a single piece of crab sashimi will cost you £8 a pop.

A guest had crabs flown out from Florida for a flight to the Caribbean

We all get particular food cravings sometimes... but most of us can't dial that request in from Florida. According to Victor, one guest asked for crabs specifically from Joe’s Crab Shack in Florida for their flight to the Caribbean. To add to the niche food requests, another guest demanded a packet of Monster Munch right before take off - in the middle of Eastern Europe.

A couple wanted to throw an in-air wedding complete with decor, buffet tables and a DJ booth

Destination weddings might be on the rise, but one wedding couple wanted to tie the knot on the journey. To make sure it was one of the happiest and highest days of their lives, Victor completely redesigned their cabin: bringing in balloon arches, a cake, buffet tables and even a DJ booth for the reception.

A family asked for the ultimate Christmas experience

For one family, Christmas was extra special as not only did they travel to Santa’s home in Lapland - they also had their private jet completely revamped in vibrant decor for the holiday. Victor also arranged for them to enjoy a full Christmas dinner from the comfort of their sky-high winter wonderland.

Five falcons were flown in a private jet

Even though falcons are known for being powerful birds of prey, five decided to kick up their claws and let a private jet do the flapping for them. Funnily enough, they were flown out on a Dassault Falcon 7X jet.

A customer insisted on bringing 10 cases of dog food

One canine-loving guest mapped out their entire dog’s holiday eating plan on a flight to the Mediterranean - which included ten cases of luxury pet food.

The 80kg Leonberger dog flown in ‘furs class’

Victor has had a number of discerning fuzzy customers, including an 80kg Leonberger dog who was flown from London to France, 10 small bunnies and nine identical pugs to name just a few. Victor has also launched a special ‘Furs Class’ experience launched in collaboration with Eze luxury hotel Cap Estel, where their furriest customers can bask in a sea-facing room filled with everything a dog could ever want - including a three course fine dining menu designed for doggos by the hotel’s head chef...
