When it comes to this season’s make-up looks, one thing is for certain: there’s no room for wallflowers. From the shocking ultraviolet sweep of shadow on the catwalk at Cacharel through to the neon coral lips at Jason Wu, this summer is all about rainbow-bright fluoro shades. Shake up your make-up with the help of some of spring’s best pop art beauty buys.

Feeling colour-shy? Then experiment with attention-grabbing nails, courtesy of Orly’s new Feel the Vibe Collection (£10.25 each, orlybeauty.co.uk). Also featuring hardworking daytime neons is Bobbi Brown’s new Neon and Nudes collection. Its shimmering ultraviolet and ultramarine shadows (£15.50, bobbibrown.co.uk) both offer an eye-catching wash of colour.

But to tackle full-on fluoros, look no further than Models Own for a wide range of hot neons. Add a bolt of colour with its high voltage eyeliner pencils (£5, modelsown it.com), play up lips with Hyper-Brite lipstick (£6), or mix up your colour with vibrant 2-in-1 eyeshadow duos (£5) in Neon Zest — lemon and tangerine — or Neon Blitz — fuchsia and cobalt.
