If you didn’t know the name Brie Larson before, then Sunday night’s Golden Globe win and today's Oscar nomination should have piqued your interest.

But other than being dubbed ‘Best Actress’, what else do we know?

Acting since she was 9-years-old Larson is by no means a newcomer to the world of the big screen, having starred in 13 Going on 30, 21 Jump Street and Trainwreck. But it was her latest film, Room, that saw her beat off tough competition from fellow nominees Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Saoirse Ronan and Alicia Vikander.

Brie Larson - Style File

1/26

Making her first big impact on the fashion world back in 2014 in a golden futuristic Prada look for the Met Gala, the star has gone on to stun in pieces by the likes of Diane Von Furstenberg Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

Although our favourite style move from Larson happened just this week, as she revealed to InStyle that she was going to take off her heels in favour of some jelly sandals.

Award-winning and practical. She may be a new favourite.
