Lace, trouser suits and anything red - 2016's most stylish celebrities have put on a display of endless enviable looks.

And while Kendall Jenner, the Hadid sisters and the Duchess of Cambridge were predictably high-up on every best dressed list, this year saw the likes of Gal Gadot, Zendaya and Lily-Rose Depp rise amongst the fashionable fold.

Fans of full-skirted flattery should head to Jennifer Lawrence in Dior, the Duchess of Cambridge in Self-portrait and Elle Fanning in Gucci for inspiration, while those seeking more alternative style tips should keep an eye on Lily-Rose Depp's wardrobe.

Trouser suits were also a big hit this year, with Emma Thompson's Stella McCartney look, Kristen Stewart in Rodarte and Emma Watson in Osman proving their worth.

If red is your colour, look no further than Dakota Johnson's Dior dress, Kendall Jenner in Fendi and the Duchess of Cambridge's iconic Preen gown for inspiration.

Gal Gadot also stunned in the year's most popular hue wearing Prada, as did Bella Hadid in Alexandre Vauthier, Diane Kruger in Jason Wu and Hailey Baldwin in Tommy Hilfiger.
