That's right, Kate Bosworth is the face — and voice — of Topshop's first-ever Christmas campaign.

Over the past five days we've been teasing you with shots of (artfully obscured) Kate stomping the streets of the capital - everywhere from Big Ben to Albert Bridge.

For those of you who didn't recognise her stylish silhouette, we can now reveal that the 29-year-old actress (Superman Returns, Blue Crush) and fashion plate is the star of the campaign and its mini-movie, inspired by the famous piano scene with Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys, which sees her perform Winter Wonderland atop a baby grand piano.

Here we exclusively grill her on life, love, working with her film director fiancé Michael Polish (who directed the Topshop film) and how she’ll spend the festive season.

on Christmas ...

"All I want for Christmas is to be surrounded by friends and family. I'll celebrate with my fiancé and his daughter, my parents and  grandparents in Los Angeles. It's very relaxed - cooking, eating and sipping some whisky. [British designer] Emma Cook's decorations are so sweet that I took a bunch back to LA and I've got a few Topshop hampers to place under the tree ... my stepdaughter did well."

on love and work ...

"Happiness is being anywhere with Michael, creating. I have worked with him on several occasions and I will try to work with him as often as this lifetime will allow. I have a few films in pre-production with Michael at the moment but my next project is Homefront, with Jason Statham, James Franco and Winona Ryder."

on the capital ...

"I love Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Albert Bridge is beautiful at night when it's all lit up.

"The first thing I always do when I'm here is unpack my clothes and explore my room. This time we stayed at the Sanderson but we normally stay at the Covent Garden Hotel. I also love the Wolseley for brunch, and Phat Phuc's noodle bar, just off King's Road, has delicious Vietnamese food."

On London vs LA style ...

"I think London and California differ mostly because they are so dictated by the weather. California is always sunny so it assumes a laid-back surfer vibe. I can find myself wearing shorts and a tank top at Christmas. The individual expression in London fashion is fantastic. I visited Portobello market this trip and picked up a few great treasures. My favourite British designers are Stella McCartney, Christopher Kane, JW Anderson, Preen, Jonathan Saunders and Alexander McQueen — and I’m a big fan of Tabitha Simmons for accessories."

Winter Wonderland by Kate Bosworth is available to download from iTunes for 69p, itunes.apple.com Topshop is currently working with the charity Shelter Box, which provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families affected by world disasters.
