When it comes to show stopping performances, Rihanna knows a thing or two about how to do it in style.

Last night, as she unveiled her latest Fenty Puma collection at New York Fashion Week, the superstar didn't disappoint as daredevils on motorbikes kicked things up a gear by performing stunts on a ramp built into pink glittering sand dunes on the catwalk.

As they somersaulted high above the heads of the audience below, stunned onlookers included Whoopi Goldberg, rapper ASAP Ferg and Selah Marley, as well as family members including proud mother Monica Fenty, whom the fashion line is named after.

Not content with staying out of the spotlight, Rihanna also climbed aboard the back of a bike to do a victory lap of the arena in Park Avenue's Armoury building wearing a khaki corset-sleeve top, lime green track pants and thigh-high leather boots.

"This collection is a mix between two worlds: motocross and surf," said Rihanna. "It was a challenge to bring them together but it ended up being the perfect combination."

To this end, the clothes - worn by a roster of top models including Adriana Lima and Adwoa Aboah - featured logo rash guards and terry towelling tracksuits together with leather moto jackets and checker flag print race suits.

Body confident mesh mini dresses and skin tight stretch Lycra body stockings also brought a dose of Rihanna-approved streetwise partywear into the mix.

A debut swimwear line was among the newest additions for spring with high cut mono-kinis and scuba-style bikinis layered under cropped hoodies and wet-look parkas.

As for the shoes - which have proven a sell-out success in previous Fenty collections - next season's offering features her popular creeper trainers updated with neoprene details and translucent soles, while her cult pool slides were recast in neon leather and as espadrille slip-ons.

Heeled mules with flip flop thong details and bungee cord ankle strap sandals completed the footwear offering, while other accessories included bucket hats, yin yang hoop earrings and oversized bumbags.

Last night's show marked the end of a busy week for Rihanna.

On Thursday, the star unveiled her debut makeup line - Fenty Beauty - at a star studded event in Manhattan, wearing a head-turning banana yellow crop top and a full floor-sweeping skirt by Oscar de la Renta.

After a quick outfit change into a strapless velvet mini dress with embellished thigh high boots, the chart topper dashed off to the launch at Sephora in Times Square, where she applied makeup to customers who had been queueing for hours and rang up purchases at the till.

The singer's much-hyped first foray into cosmetics, which is available in the UK at Harvey Nichols, spans foundation in 40 shades, shimmering pressed highlighters and a universal lip gloss.

Her makeup line also played a starring role in last night's showcase, as models' skin gleamed with holographic strobing and shimmering pink eyeshadow.

Following the show, Rihanna capped off her jam packed New York Fashion Week schedule with an after party at Times Square's Moxy hotel where the star partied with fans until the small hours.
