As the 2016 Victoria's Secret Angels and models prepare to walk the Grand Palais catwalk in Paris next week, there will be a host of women whose interest is even keener than most as they look to see if this year's cast live up to their own previous stints on the iconic runway.

While not traditionally seen as a 'high fashion' show, Victoria's Secret has launched the careers of several members of fashion royalty.

Naomi Campbell walked for the brand from 1996-2005, missing only three shows in 1999, 2001 and 2004.

Tyra Banks walked every show from 1996-2005 and Gisele Bündchen appeared on the runway annually from 1999-2006, while Adriana Lima has walked every show since 1999 - missing just one in 2009 - and is in the line-up again this year.

Other household names in the fashion industry that have also graced the Victoria's Secret runway include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Claudia Schiffer, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.

This year will see both Kendall and Gigi return to the runway, and they will be joined by Gigi's litle sister Bella.

Musical performances have also been an annual hit at the show, with Justin Timberlake, Usher, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Mary J. Blige and The Spice Girls all having previously provided the show's live soundtrack.

This year's performers have been confirmed as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.
