On Tuesday afternoon the four young royals arrived at Buckingham Palace for a reception hosted by the Queen to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the investiture of the Prince of Wales.

Spicing up a maternity wardrobe typically comprised of classic silhouettes and muted colours, Meghan Markle donned a metallic brocade dress, the silver dress adorned with gold floral embroidery.

Meghan covered up in a cream Crombie coat by British designer, Amanda Wakeley. The sculpted number was first debuted by the duchess during her first formal engagement as a member of the royal family at the Commonwealth Day Service in 2018.

Her bag, the Wilbur & Gussie Oyster Silk Clutch, was also recycled. This was in fact the fourth time the 37-year-old had been seen with the £205 bag, making it a decided favourite in her ever-expanding clutch collection.

Meghan accessorised the look with Paul Andrew taupe heels and gold bar earrings by Birks, and offset the formality of the outfit with a subtle, but noticeable, smokey eye and her hair swept up into her signature messy bun.
