In two weeks time Jonathan Anderson will unveil his first collection for Spanish luxury giant Loewe.

But there was no sign of nerves at London Fashion Week today as Northern Irish Anderson took to the catwalk.

Showcasing the latest spring/summer collection for his successful eponymous label, Anderson oozed with confidence.

Not surprisingly, given his new role at the head of a leather powerhouse, this collection awash with skin and texture.

Butter-soft leather panels and carefully positioned trims adorned architectural nude pinstripe dresses which also featured heavy-duty nautical ropes.

Other leather additions included floppy sun hats in the fabric as well as mid-length skirts.

Anderson long been revered for his skills with wool and the knitwear on the catwalk today served as a reminder that this aspect of his craft still carried huge importance.

A series of thigh skimming dresses, crafted from panels of black ribbed wool, were among the most covetable on show today.

A collection of slashed hessian tops in vibrant sea blue also stood out. Life is a beach.
