At just 25-years-old, gender-fluid fashion designer Harris Reed has already had a stellar career.

Having modelled for Gucci (and starred in its first gender-neutral fragrance campaign) as well as launched MAC makeup’s first gender-fluid makeup line, just months after graduating from Central Saint Martins in June 2020, Reed’s collection was spotted by stylist of the moment Harry Lambert. He then asked Reed to design pieces for his client Harry Styles – who then wore *that* suit dress on the cover of Vogue.

Now, the rising star is set to bring their unique baroque-meets-gothic vision to jewellery for the first time, via a collaboration with affordable jewellery brand Missoma.

“I was really able to let my creativity run free and able to dream as big as I could possibly dream,” says Reed, who will create layering pieces for the labels fine and demi-fine collections, due to drop in September.

“The story I hope to tell with this collection is to be your own light and define who you are through what you choose to explore,” Reed continues. “Using jewellery pieces, like I do with clothes and make-up, as the building blocks in your tool box to best express who you are, exploring your individuality and your fluidity.”

As one of the original affordable jewellery brands whose ethos is ‘jewellery for everyone,’ the collection feels like a natural partnership for Missoma, which launched its first mens collection back in October 2020.

Reed’s designs don’t drop until September (date TBC), but it’s likely we can expect lots of chunky rings of the kind Reed lives in himself, and plenty of silver and gold layering pieces inspired by romanticism, glam-rock and the Georgian era.
