48 hours on and the world is still mesmerised by the royal wedding.

Not only will the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (now formally known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) be a talking point for many months to come, but, replicas of Meghan's modern wedding dress are sure to be hitting aisles left, right and centre.

On Saturday, the 36-year-old stunned in a elegant Givenchy dress, designed by Clare Waight Keller, the first female Artistic Director of the French fashion house.

The gown's silhouette was beautifully simple, boasting an open bateau neckline, sculpted waist and six meticulously placed seams, creating a graceful and timeless finish.

Givenchy recently took to Instagram to explain that Meghan wanted "a timeless piece to emphasize the iconic codes of the House throughout its history as well as to convey modernity through sleek lines and sharp cuts."

We don't know exactly how much the haute couture royal wedding dress cost, but estimates sit somewhere between £200k-£400k. There is good news for brides on a more modest budget, though, because high street shop Missguided has already designed a very affordable alternative.

For just £35 you can get your own similarly simple gown, which is complete with long sleeves and regal fishtail train.

And, for those who are a little dubious about the price, the dress has numerous five-star ratings, one customer writing: "I was sceptical but it is stunning, so happy with it." Adding it was "overwhelmingly perfect".

Whether you are planning on wearing the white dress down the aisle, or simply sat on the sofa watching royal wedding re-runs, it gets our seal of approval.
