Michelle Obama is teaming up with Spotify and Higher Ground Productions for a multi-series, multi-year partnership for The Michelle Obama Podcast.

The Michelle Obama Podcast, which is hosted by the one and only Michelle Obama, will be premiering exclusively on Spotify on July 29th.

According to a press release from Spotify, “The series will bring listeners the former First Lady’s most candid and personal conversations, showing us what’s possible when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to open up, and to focus on what matters most.”

In her Instagram post announcing her podcast, Michelle shared, “What I love about these conversations is that they're issues we’re all dealing with every day––and they can take on new meaning when we’re going through a global pandemic or seeking out long-overdue racial justice in our communities.”

The featured guests range from family to celebrities. Michelle will also speak candidly with her mother and brother, Marian and Craig Robinson.

Other notable guests will include talk show host Conan O’Brien, Obama White House advisor Valerie Jarrett, journalist Michele Norris and Dr. Sharon Malone, who is married to former Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder.

Michelle said in a statement that she hopes this podcast "can help us explore what we’re going through and spark new conversations with our loved ones.”

She finished off her announcement by writing, “I hope this podcast will help you open up new conversations––and hard conversations––with the people who matter most to you. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another––especially during times like this.”
