10 April 2012

The Evening Standard guides you through the best bars in London. Here we take a look at Barchick...

Who for: Anyone who likes a challenge, people who like discovering new places, anyone who gets bored easily and everyone who loves a secret.

Vibe: If you have been to Bourne and Hollingsworth, you'll know all about its granny-chic style, prohibition parties and elusive ways. Well, now it is making itself even harder to find with its latest roaming bar concept. It will pop up somewhere different every Friday and Saturday night from now until it run out of places to roam to.

Best drink(s): BarChick loved the cockle-warming Honey Monkey with whisky, honey and lemon juice, shaken and served in a teacup. This lot love a good teacup cocktail, but they've got jam jars and champagne coupes, too. The Gatsby was good - all vodka, red berries and some fizz.

Cash or credit card? Cash. Cocktails start at £6, and if you're really skint have a beer.

Find it: Every Fri and Sat from 5pm until 1am. Email info@bandhgroup.com and await the cryptic clues to the bar's secret location a couple of days before kick-off. It's a modern-day treasure hunt - not easy but that's part of the fun.
