Youths stamp on pupil's head

12 April 2012

A schoolboy is critically ill after being beaten to the ground and then stamped on repeatedly by youths.

The 15-year-old was chased by his attackers - some on bicycles - along Beethoven Street in north Kensington at about 4.30pm on Friday. The gang, believed to be aged between 15 and 18, caught up with him as he reached the junction with Kilburn Lane, where he suffered a sustained attack during which his head was stamped on.

Paramedics treated the boy before taking him to a west London hospital where his condition is serious but stable. It is too soon to know if he has suffered brain damage.

Anyone with information should contact police on 020 7321 9314 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
