Ulrika: Sven was a 'catastrophe'

Jonnson: knew Sven affair was a mistake
13 April 2012

Ulrika Jonnson has described her affair with England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson as a 'catastrophe'.

The former weathergirl said she knew bedding the fellow Swede would cause a sensation - even though she wanted a 'no strings' relationship.

Their affair came to light just before World Cup 2002 and led to problems for Eriksson and his girlfriend, Nancy Dell'Olio.

Jonsson told Channel 4's The Importance Of Being Famous: 'It was a catastrophe. It was the last and final gamble. It was literally to do that and go woah - stop.'

The documentary will be screened at 9pm tonight.
