Two seriously hurt in 999 crash

A woman passenger in her nineties and a car driver in his sixties are in a "serious condition" after their car collided with a police vehicle answering an emergency call.

The crash happened on Cricklewood Broadway at 12.14pm yesterday opposite the Beacon Bingo Hall at the junction with Ashford Road.

The two police officers involved, both based at Kilburn, are being treated for minor injuries. Their car also hit a traffic bollard and a brick wall.
