Tracy's Online Dating: Week 1

Have you told your friends you are doing it?Yes some people know ? two of my colleagues at work actually saw it on the This is Londonsite. The number of friends noticing it has grown since then but everyone thinks it?s good fun.

Have any of them tried it? There?s one girl I know who tried another online agency and like me she was emailing frantically at the start. She met three guys but unfortunately was disappointed when it actually came to seeing them in the flesh. I think it?s a case of having to persevere and make the right choice.

What kind of feedback have you had from guys on the Udate site?I've had about 10 people write to me since I joined and at the start had one within a couple of hours of registering. There were tricky email problems at the start, which affected my replies to them, but now that seems to be ok.

And what?s the talent like then?It?s a case of sifting through them all until you find one or two you like - and there is one guy I've come across who I quite like! A few don?t have photos and although I?m not one to usually just go on looks, I think this time it helps because it would be a waste of a date if we both turned up and I didn?t fancy him!

All in all there?s a real mixed bag on the site. There seems to be some interesting guys up there but they are few and far between. There again I am fussy! Some of the guys don?t strike me as my type ? too much jewellery or their interests are nowhere near mine.

So what?s this ?one guy I quite like? like?

He is Greek/Cypriot and seems really funny. He says he is a non-drinker which is a bit worrying what with me being Irish! He said if he meets up he wants it to be in public because there are so many bunny boilers out there ? which I think is quite funny! He also answered the ?Where do you see yourself in three years?? with ?not on this website hopefully!? which made me laugh.

What are you looking for when browsing the galleries of men?I?m looking at their interests, personalities and whether they are funny or not. Oh and as I said before, their photos help.

Now, some people are prone to telling porkies on the web, have you?Only a small one in that I said I don?t smoke but really I have had the occasional one or two if I?ve been drinking, which is not that bad.

What's your plan of attack over the next few days to get your man?Get as much chat going between the guys that I like as possible and narrow it down to which one makes me laugh the most.
