Toddler abandoned at butcher's shop

A toddler is being cared for in hospital today after being abandoned outside a butcher's shop.

The Asian boy who suffers from eczema and is thought to be 12-19 months old, was left in a blue pushchair near Halal Meats, in Queens Market, Green Street, Upton Park at about 3pm on Tuesday - but was only noticed at 5.30pm when he started crying.

Anyone with information is asked to call 020 8217 5467 or (out of hours) 020 8534 1212 and ask for Forest Gate police station.
