Student dies from blood clot on lung

A UNIVERSITY student died from a blood clot on her lung moments after laughing and joking with friends.

Lara Plewa, 19, a forensic science student at Kent University, was taken to hospital after collapsing.

Doctors at Canterbury Hospital thought she would recover but her condition worsened and she died. Her sister Carly, 22, said: "She was going to have some scans. No one ever thought it would end up like this."
