Rail company in court over Paddington

Thames Trains, one of the rail companies involved in the Paddington rail crash, is appearing in court today over alleged breaches of health and safety regulations.

The Health and Safety Executive is prosecuting the firm under the Health and Safety at Work Act.

Thirty-one people died after a Thames train went through a red light and hit a First Great Western train in 1999 killing 31 people.
