Propaganda fears over new CCTV film of 7/7 bombers

12 April 2012

New film of the movements of the 7/7 bombers will be shown in public for the first time next week.

An edited tape of the CCTV of the four terrorists will be played at the inquest into the victims of the bombings starting on Monday at the High Court.

But there are concerns that Muslim extremists will download the images once they are posted on the internet after the hearing.

Max Hill QC - representing the Met Police - warned the hearing that next week's film released to the public should be scrutinised to ensure nothing could be used for "cynical purposes".

The four bombs, planted by Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Jermaine Lyndsay and Hasib Hussain, killed 56 people including the suicide bombers on the morning of July 7 2005.
