Prince Harry threw down his mallet and punched his helmet after being thrown from his horse during a polo match.

His show of frustration may have been more in keeping at the aptly-named Oxfordshire HQ of the sport — the Hurlingham Polo Association.

Harry, 25, who rolled a couple of times in the spectacular fall, was the star of a charity match in Barbados.

He escaped uninjured after the pony slipped and plunged forward as he attempted a tight right turn.

Harry said: "It probably looks very dramatic because I was trying to throw myself clear of the horse. I'm a bit sore, but the horse is okay."

The prince, an accomplished player, was taking part in the inaugural Sentebale Polo Cup yesterday to raise money for his African children's charity during a two-day trip to Bridgetown.

Harry earlier danced on live TV after viewers met his challenge to donate £1,500 to the Haiti earthquake in 25 minutes.
