Paltrow's acupuncture love

Sharp talking: Paltrow finds love while getting the needle

Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed she chose husband Chris Martin after life-changing advice from an acupuncturist. The Oscar winner - who married Martin last month after announcing she was expecting his child - told Vanity Fair magazine she turned to the healer after the death of her father Bruce.

Paltrow, 31, said his words helped her "reach a new level", enabling her to cope with the grief and also to choose the right partner following a string of disastrous high-profile relationships.

Interviewed exclusively by Vanity Fair, she said: "I never knew I could suffer so much. Then at the same time you think, now I'm ready to open myself up to life in another way, to make it worth something and make it about the right things."

Paltrow said that her pregnancy had also helped. "It's just amazing to know that I'm going to have something that's a quarter my dad.". She said her relationship with the Coldplay frontman was "sacred and so special that I feel talking about it is wrong".
