P Diddy settles child support dispute

Rapper Sean "P Diddy" Combs has settled his child support dispute with model Kim Porter but not before cursing in a Manhattan family court.

Combs was apparently annoyed with former partner Porter's lawyer Suzanne Kimberly Bracker who had said she wouldn't proceed with the hearing until she received a signed copy of the support agreement from Combs.

"Let her be an a***hole about it then," Combs, 32, allegedly muttered to his lawyer, Eleanor Grosz. Hearing examiner David Kirshblum apparently didn't hear the comment, nor one Combs made later about being in a rush to get a meeting and "this whole thing being corny anyway".

The Mo' Money, Mo' Problems rapper was irreverent at the beginning of the hearing, when Mr Kirshblum chided him for not having appeared in the almost year-old case previously. "Mr Combs, welcome to Family Court. This is the first time we've seen you here," the examiner said.

"Yeah, I got around to coming," Combs answered. Although he was later contrite telling the examiner he "meant no disrespect to this court for not appearing earlier".

The exact financial terms of the settlement are confidential, but the deal provides joint custody and support for their three-year-old son Christian until he turns 21 which is believed to total millions of US dollars.
