Man leaves vicar wife for girl, 17

The husband of a vicar has left her for a schoolgirl 41 years his junior, it was reported today.

Ken Brewster, 58, started secretly meeting the 17-year-old, called Lucy, after she had come to his home for counselling from his wife, the Rev Sue Brewster.

Now Mr Brewster - who has five grandchildren - has moved out of their house in Loughton.

Mrs Brewster's job as a team vicar in the diocese of Chelmsford could also be under threat.

A parishioner told The Sun: "The girl is young enough to be Ken's granddaughter." The affair allegedly began in March after Lucy had sought help for depression.

Initially Mr Brewster denied an affair.

However, his wife found the pair together two weeks ago and her husband confessed.

Mr Brewster, who works for a van hire company, has moved out to the couple's former home in Gants Hill. Lucy is due to start her final A-level year next month.

The Brewsters refused to comment.
