Man arrested over boy’s hit-and-run death

A suspected killer driver was being questioned by police today over a hit-and-run crash in which a seven-year-old boy was dragged for 20 yards under the wheels of a van.

Ehsaan Haque, above, was visiting family in Ilford when he was hit on a pedestrian crossing on 28 July. The driver of the Toyota Hiace Powervan walked back to look at the injured boy before driving off. Ehsaan died on 10 August. A 28-year-old man has been arrested.
