Food giant Heinz is to remove a healthy eating logo from 50 of its products.

It fears the foods, including baked beans and tomato soup, will not meet stringent new limits on fat, sugar and salt content to be eligible for the Government's 'Five-A-Day' healthy eating campaign.

Heinz corporate affairs manager Michael Mullen said: 'The new guidelines will disqualify many nourishing and nutritious foods from counting towards Five-A-Day.'
