Heather settles row over her dress

Richard Simpson12 April 2012

Heather Mills has settled the dispute with her wedding dress makers - by promising to send them a £10,000 cheque.

London designers Caroline Eavis and Annie Brown expected an avalanche of publicity from her marriage to Sir Paul McCartney at an Irish castle a fortnight ago, so they waived their £10,000 bill.

But the happy couple decided against a glossy magazine deal - and a single picture of the dress was released to the media.

Miss Eavis said: "Annie was in tears when we received little or no coverage. We spent five months working on a dress that had to be absolutely perfect." She dismissed the notion that Lady McCartney had designed the dress herself.

However, Lady McCartney's agents contacted the Richard And Judy TV show to pass on a message to the designers, who were appearing as guests, that she would pay them £10,000 for their services.
