Currently she is enjoying the plaudits for her role as Storm in the new X-Men movie. And now Halle Berry has further reason to celebrate after being voted as the world's sexiest women in a poll amongst readers of Eve magazine. She beat off the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones and Yasmin Le Bon.

Nearly a third of readers voted for Berry, with Catherine Zeta Jones runner up.

Berry, 36, has seen her latest X-Men movie - for which she reprises her role as mutant Storm - taking more than £100 million around the world during its opening weekend.

Jennifer Lopez finishes fourth, taking just 9% of votes, behind Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon's model wife Yasmin who was third with 15%.

The poll was carried out to tie in with Eve's search for a model aged 30-plus to become the face of the magazine.

Entry forms are in the new edition of the magazine out today.
Yasmin Le Bon, 38, said: "Women in their thirties are more beautiful, confident and stylish that ever before."

Eve editor Jane Bruton said: "We are delighted to be launching our Face of Eve 2003 search in celebration of women in their 30s. Women say they love being 30 because they have more self-confidence, more money and strong relationships."

The top five were: Halle Berry, Catherine Zeta Jones, Yasmin Le Bon, Jennifer Lopez and Catherine Deneuve.
