Go-karter dies in track crash

A man aged 59 died after his go-kart crashed into tyres at the edge of the track as he raced against friends.
The driver, from Brentford, was given first aid at the Indikart Racing Club in Colchester last night but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at hospital.
Traffic police are investigating and said they will pass their findings to the Health and Safety Executive and coroner after examining the vehicle and track.
