French action hits flights

British holidaymakers heading abroad for the half-term face disruption by militant French air-traffic controllers.

Flights may be cancelled and many are likely to be delayed because of strike action by Paris workers.

Major airlines, including British Airways, BMI and easyJet said they were monitoring the situation but warned of delays and cancellations should the strike spread.
