Fiennes in London for marathon challenge

Sir Ranulph Fiennes is in London today for the fifth stage of his bid to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.

Sir Ranulph, 59, and running partner Dr Michael Stroud were starting on the route of the 1908 London Olympic marathon, beginning in Windsor at 7.30am.

They were then leaving in the afternoon for Cairo. The pair have so far completed marathons in the Falkland Islands, Santiago in Chile, Sydney and Singapore.
