Police searching for an 11-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly five days have released CCTV images of him talking to a man at Paddington.

Officers are concerned for the safety of Ibraheem Shah after he left his home in Southall last Wednesday wearing his school uniform.

Ibraheem, who lives with foster parents, was filmed talking to the man at around 5.30pm at the station and police have appealed for him to come forward to help with the search.

The boy travelled from Southall to Paddington by train and then caught the Jubilee line to Stratford. Cameras there caught him emerging from the station apparently alone at 6.30pm.

Borough Commander for Ealing, Ian Jenkins, said: "It is now the fifth day since Ibraheem went missing and we are very concerned. We do not know where he is or what has happened to him.

"From CCTV taken at Paddington station, Ibraheem is seen walking near a black man, who we believe he was speaking to.

"We would very much like this man to contact us as he may be able to help us piece together where Ibraheem was planning on going and where he may be. We believe Ibraheem used the train and Tube systems to get to Stratford."

The last sighting of the boy shows him walking out of Stratford Tube station on to the Great Eastern Road. Ibraheem, who is said to be young for his age, told friends that he was going to visit his real family who live in Newham. Police have contacted his family but they deny he has got in touch with them.

The boy, who is one of 11 children, did not take any clothes, bags or money with him. He is described as Asian, with short black hair, brown eyes, thin build and around 5ft. His family are originally from Pakistan.

He was last seen wearing his Featherstone School uniform of a blue tie, dark blazer, school badge, white shirt and black trousers and shoes.

He was also wearing a blue Parka jacket with a fur-trimmed hood and a blue woollen hat with a white band and Manchester written on it.
