Father-in-law splits from ‘brand Ramsay’

Gordon Ramsay has split with the business mastermind behind his restaurant and TV empire, his father-in-law Chris Hutcheson.

The 62-year-old was the force behind the global expansion of "brand Ramsay" after the pair linked up in 1993.

But the business fell more than £8 million into the red and Ramsay, 44, and Mr Hutcheson were forced to put in £5 million of their own money.

Mr Hutcheson "retains an interest as a shareholder".
