  • Designate the whole of Greater London a Low Emission Zone, which would ban worst polluting lorries, coaches, buses and taxis. The aim is to cut emissions of fine particles that cause lung diseases by 23 per cent and cut area of the capital in which NO2 levels are unsafe by 19 per cent.
  • Protect both London green belt and inner London green spaces from development and promote use of Thames for transport of freight.
  • A single waste authority for London for first time since 1986.
  • To cut CO2 emissions, all new housing developments to be powered in part by renewable energy, including solar panels and combined heat and power plants.
  • Free energy-efficient light bulbs for every home.
