Enron plea bargain deal is closer

ENRON'S former financial chief Andrew Fastow and his wife Lea looked set to sign a plea bargain deal with US prosecutors today.

It would result in more lenient sentences in exchange for information on the demise of the energy giant, and raise the chance of charges against ex-chairman Kenneth Lay and chief executive Jeffrey Skilling.
