Dignitas helped 22 Britons to die

A total of 22 Britons have taken their own lives with the help of Swiss euthanasia group Dignitas.

Lesley Close's brother John, had motor neurone disease and chose to end his life with their help. She said British citizens had shown huge "interest" in assisted suicides, after being influenced by the "brave" example of Reg Crew.

Mr Crew went public over his decision to end his life in Zurich last year.
