London hospitals are £63.5million in the red. Here is the full breakdown of their deficit - and the impact it will have on patients.

South-west

St George's owes £11 million - which will result in long waits to see specialists

Epsom and St Helier, £5.3 million - it warns this will lead to high levels of superbug MRSA

Kingston, £0.9 million - resulting in long waits to see specialists

South-east

Bromley, £4.2 million - which will mean long waits in A&E

Queen Elizabeth, £4.5 million - plans to close 36 beds to save money

North-east

Bart's and The London, £5.6 million - having to make do with using out-of-date MRI (cancer) scanners

Newham, £3.2 million - blames the deficit for its massive vacancy rate for nurses

North-central

Barnet & Chase Farm, £3 million - a shortfall which has led to a 20 per cent vacancy rate for midwives

Whittington, £4 million - which means that operating theatres are closed at weekends

Royal Free, £4 million - causing long outpatient waits to see specialists North Middlesex, £1 million - shortfall has led to junior doctors being forced to work excessive hours

North-west

North West London Hospitals, £5.5 million - excessive waits in A&E

Hammersmith, £3.5 million - has closed down life-saving radiotherapy service as a result Chelsea & Westminster, £3 million - is having to make junior doctors work excessive hours

Hillingdon, £2.3 million - which means long waiting lists for operations West Middlesex University, £2.5 million - forced to turn away 15 critically-ill patients last year
