Cleric jailed for Bali bomb

Radical Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Bashir was today found guilty of ordering the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings.

He was sentenced to two and a half years in jail by an Indonesian court over the attack which killed 202 people.

The 66-year-old, who had no direct involvement in the bombing but gave his approval, smiled widely as he was led away. He was found not guilty of taking part in the 2003 Marriott hotel bombing in Jakarta.
