'Chiswick is pram central but I can't find a playscheme'

Give us a break: Sarah Watts with sons Oliver and Callum

Entrepreneur Sarah Watts has struggled to find affordable childcare for her three children this summer.

Mrs Watts, 37, mother of Emily, eight, and twins Oliver and Callum, nine, runs a gift website, Two Little Boys, from her Chiswick home. Juggling the business and children would be impossible and she cannot afford to take the entire holiday off at her busiest time of the year, so is sending them to their grandparents on the south coast.

Mrs Watts, 37, whose husband Paul, 38, is a film editor in Soho, said: "I would love to know where I could get childcare for £68 a week. I live in Chiswick, which is pram central, so you'd think there would be lots of holiday playschemes but I can't find any. It's ridiculous. The only schemes Hounslow has are miles away."

She is paying £450 to send the children to their school's one-week activity club and the whole family will go on holiday later next month.
