CCTV man 'no help' in Amelie case

A man seen on the same CCTV footage as Amelie Delagrange minutes before the French student was bludgeoned to death has been eliminated from the investigation after contacting police.

The man appeared in the same video clip as Miss Delagrange, 22, shortly before she was killed on Twickenham Green last month.

Police hoped the man may have seen the killer. However, he was unable to provide police with any further clues in the murder hunt.

Detectives are continuing to follow up calls received after a reconstruction last week. They are also investigating possible links with a number of similar attacks in the area.
