John Galliano and Joaquin Cortes, Julien Macdonald and Ozzie Osbourne: just two of the iconic pairings at tonight's mind-blowingly glam Fashion Rocks.

The symbiotic relationship between fashion and music has been the stuff of legend since Jagger stepped out in Ossie Clark; now Fashion Rocks brings together rock and fashion 'royalty' by inviting AAA-listers to play muse and model to 18 leading designers.

Thus, Armani creates for Beyoncè, Lagerfeld for Sharleen Spiteri and Alexander McQueen for Icelandic pop elf Bjork. And everyone appears on the night, with music by Bryan Ferry, Robbie Williams and Kylie. 'Star-studded' doesn't even begin to describe it.

Nicholas Coleridge, Condè Nast MD, is the force behind the event; fashion mobile phone company Xelibri the sponsor; and the Prince's Trust the main beneficiary - of about £1.2million, if all goes according to plan.

All 5,800 tickets sold out in 36 hours, so the rest of us will have to watch the box. Channel 4 does the honours.

Fashion Rocks, Saturday, T4 and highlights, Channel 4, Sunday, 10pm.
